Ingredients

For the Sirloin Tips:

  • 1 pound sirloin steak tips, trimmed and cubed
  • 1/2 red onion, quartered and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For the Garlic Noodles:

  • 3 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Green onions (scallions), sliced for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Sirloin Tips:

  • In a large saucepan or skillet, heat the olive oil, soy sauce, and butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add the cubed sirloin tips, sliced red onion, and minced garlic.
  • Season with kosher salt and black pepper, and stir well.
  • Cook the beef mixture until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (or desired doneness). Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Noodles:

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook for approximately 9 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside.
  • In the same pot, combine soy sauce, melted butter, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Return the drained noodles to the pot and toss to coat, letting them steam for a few minutes over medium heat.
  • Once the noodles have absorbed the flavors, remove from heat.

Serve:

  • Plate the garlic noodles and top with the sirloin tip mixture.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions (scallions).

Trim and cube the sirloin tips. Slice half a red onion into quarters. Chop garlic cloves.

Heat the beef mixture and stir until cooked through to 145 degrees.

When the noodles are cooked, drain and set aside. Add the soy sauce, butter, garlic powder, sesame oil, and garlic powder to the same pot.

Stir the cooked noodles back in the pot and stir over medium heat to steam a few minutes and remove from heat.

Serve the beef mixture over the garlic noodles and garnish with sliced green onion scallions.
