For the Sirloin Tips

  • 1 pound sirloin steak tips, trimmed and cubed
  • 1/2 red onion, quartered and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon coarse kosher salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter

For the Garlic Noodles

  • 3 cups uncooked egg noodles
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Green onions (scallions), sliced for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Sirloin Tips

In a large saucepan or skillet, heat olive oil, soy sauce, and butter over medium-high heat. Add cubed sirloin tips, sliced red onion, and minced garlic. Season with kosher salt and black pepper, stirring well. Cook until the beef reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (or desired doneness). Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Garlic Noodles

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, then add egg noodles. Cook for approximately 9 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and set aside. In the same pot, combine soy sauce, melted butter, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Mix well. Return the drained noodles to the pot and toss to coat. Let the noodles steam over medium heat for a few minutes to absorb the flavors. Remove from heat.

Serve

Plate the garlic noodles and top with the sirloin tip mixture. Garnish with sliced green onions (scallions) and serve warm.

Stir the cooked noodles back in the pot and stir over medium heat to steam a few minutes and remove from heat.

Serve the beef mixture over the garlic noodles and garnish with sliced green onion scallions.
