  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ½ cup warm water (110°F)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Tikka Masala Sauce

  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger

For the Toppings

  • 1 pound cooked chicken breast or thighs, diced or shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt or sour cream (optional, for drizzling)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing the crust)

Instructions

Make the Thin Crust

In the bowl of your stand mixer, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast. Add the warm water and olive oil, then use the dough hook attachment to knead the dough on medium speed for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form the dough into a ball, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.

Prepare the Tikka Masala Sauce

In a small bowl, mix together yogurt, tomato paste, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, salt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger until well combined. Set aside.

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat.

Prepare the Chicken

If the chicken isn’t cooked yet, you can quickly pan-fry it with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of garam masala. Cook until no longer pink, then dice or shred.

Roll Out the Dough

Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thinness. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper for easy handling.

Assemble the Pizza

Lightly brush the crust with olive oil. Spread an even layer of the tikka masala sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Evenly scatter the cooked chicken over the sauce.

Add the thinly sliced red onion. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.

Bake the Pizza

Carefully transfer the pizza (using the parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped cilantro and optionally drizzle plain yogurt or sour cream over the top for extra creaminess. Slice and enjoy your Tikka Masala Pizza!
