  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

For the Toppings

  • 8 slices of thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 2 chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

Instructions

Prepare the Pizza Crust

  • In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  • Add olive oil, flour, salt, and Italian seasoning. Mix with a dough hook until the dough is sticky and elastic, adding flour as needed.
  • Let the dough rise for 15 minutes. Roll it out on a lightly floured surface and transfer to an oiled pizza pan, shaping to fit.

Prepare the Honey BBQ Sauce

  • In a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients and simmer over low heat until thickened.
  • Remove from heat and let cool.

Prepare the Toppings

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook diced bacon and chicken for 5 minutes, covered.
  • Add Cajun seasoning and cook until the chicken is done and bacon is crisp, about 5 more minutes.

Assemble the Pizza

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Spread Honey BBQ Sauce over the pizza crust.
  • Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese, then add the bacon and chicken.
  • Add diced red onion and top with mozzarella and remaining cheddar cheese.

Bake the Pizza

Add the warm water, sugar, and yeast to a mixing bowl and stir. Let it sit about 5 minutes or it becomes frothy.

Add the olive oil, flour, and salt. Mix together with a dough hook about 5 minutes until the dough becomes sticky, adding flour a tablespoon at a time as needed to firm up the dough to become elastic. Add the Italian seasoning while mixing the dough.

Form the dough into a ball and leave in the mixing bowl to rise about 15 minutes while preparing the sauce and toppings.

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface. Brush a pizza pan with oil and form the dough in the pan.

Add the bacon and chicken to a skillet and heat to med-high. Let cook covered about 5 minutes.

Add the Cajun seasoning and stir in. Cook about 5 minutes more until the chicken is cooked and bacon is becoming crisp.

Dice 1 red onion.

Spread the honey BBQ sauce evenly over the dough.

Add half of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Add the chicken and bacon.

Add the red onion over top.

Add the shredded mozzarella and the other half of the cheddar.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and bake for 25 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown.
