Ingredients

  • Tortilla chips
  • 1/2 pound Jimmy Dean sage pork sausage
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni, sliced in half
  • 1 finely diced jalapeno
  • 1 finely diced shallot
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped green onions
  • 2.25 ounce can of sliced black olives

Nacho Cheese Sauce

  • 8 slices of American cheese
  • 2 ounces of cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce

Instructions

Prepare the Meat Topping

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sage pork sausage, sliced pepperoni, diced jalapeño, and diced shallot for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sausage is fully cooked and everything is well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.

Make the Nacho Cheese Sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine American cheese, cream cheese, butter, whole milk, heavy cream, and hot sauce. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk or cream to adjust consistency. Remove from heat.

Assemble the Nachos

Spread tortilla chips on a serving platter or large dish. Evenly distribute the meat mixture over the chips. Pour the nacho cheese sauce generously over the meat and chips. Garnish with chopped green onions and drained black olives.

Serve and Enjoy

Serve immediately while warm. Enjoy as a hearty snack or party appetizer.

Tips

Adjust spiciness by varying the amount of jalapeño and hot sauce. Customize with additional toppings like diced tomatoes, sour cream, or guacamole.

Add the sage sausage, sliced pepperoni, diced jalapeno, diced shallots, to a skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, add the American cheese, cream cheese, whole milk, heavy cream, and hot sauce to a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until melted through.

Slice the green onions and prepare the black olives. To serve, layer the tortilla chips, spread the meat mixture over the chips, then pour the nacho sauce over the top. Garnish with the green onions and black olives.
