Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Prepare the Sauce

In a small saucepan, whisk together light brown sugar and cornstarch until combined. Gradually add pineapple juice, whisking to avoid lumps. Stir in white distilled vinegar, soy sauce, and salt until fully mixed.

Cook the Sauce

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Once boiling, continue stirring for 1 minute until the sauce thickens.

Cool and Store

Remove from heat and let cool. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
