1 cup whole milk
½ cup steel-cut oats
¼ teaspoon salt
Flavorings
1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions
Cook the Oats
In a medium saucepan, bring water and milk to a gentle boil over medium heat. Stir in the steel-cut oats and salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 20–25 minutes, until the oats are tender and the mixture thickens.
Flavor the Oatmeal
Stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
Add the Blueberries
Fold in the blueberries and cook for 2–3 minutes, until they’re warmed through and begin to burst.
Serve
Divide oatmeal into two bowls. Sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
