Ingredients

For the Chicken Burgers

  • 24 ounces ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 finely diced shallot (or 1/4 finely diced red onion)
  • 4 Brioche buns
  • Sliced red onion, for serving
  • Red leaf lettuce, for serving

For the Avocado Yogurt Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 ripe avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

Burger Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, Cajun seasoning, dried parsley, paprika, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, and finely diced shallot or red onion. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Form Patties

Divide the chicken mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a ball, then flatten using a burger press to create 4 patties.

Cooking the Burgers

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. For grill: Cook at 400°F for about 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. For skillet: Cook over medium heat, flipping halfway through, until fully cooked.

Toast the Buns

Lightly toast Brioche buns on the grill or in a skillet until golden brown.

Prepare the Avocado Yogurt Sauce

In a blender or food processor, combine Greek yogurt, avocado, minced garlic, lemon juice, sea salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and olive oil. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Assemble the Burgers
