Chocolate Sauce
Simple chocolate sauce with four ingredients to drizzle over your favorite dessert indulgence.
This homemade chocolate sauce is a quick, rich topping perfect for enhancing desserts. Warm whole milk over medium heat to create a creamy base, then whisk in unsweetened cocoa powder and sugar until smooth. After simmering for 5 minutes to deepen the flavor, add a touch of vanilla off the heat, allowing the sauce to thicken as it cools, making it ideal for drizzling over ice cream, cakes, or fruit.
Ingredients
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce: Warm whole milk in a small saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in unsweetened cocoa powder and white sugar until smooth and lump-free.
Simmer: Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Finish the Sauce: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let the sauce cool slightly, allowing it to thicken.
Serve: Drizzle over your favorite desserts and enjoy!
