Ingredients
2 ripe avocados
1 teaspoon salt
Juice of 1 lime
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1 jalapeño pepper, finely diced (remove seeds for a milder flavor)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
Preparing the Avocados: Cut avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
Mashing: Add salt and freshly squeezed lime juice. Mash with a fork or potato masher until the desired consistency is reached (chunky or smooth).
Adding Flavor: Stir in minced garlic, chopped cilantro, diced jalapeño, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
Chilling: Cover with plastic wrap, pressing it against the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to meld flavors.
Serving: Stir before serving. Enjoy with tortilla chips.
Tip: For extra texture or sweetness, fold in diced tomatoes or red onions. Add a splash of hot sauce for an extra zing.
