Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, finely diced (remove seeds for a milder flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

Preparing the Avocados

  • Cut avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

Mashing

  • Add salt and freshly squeezed lime juice. Mash with a fork or potato masher until the desired consistency is reached (chunky or smooth).
