Honey BBQ Sauce

A sweeter flavored barbeque sauce with honey and liquid smoke with a dash of hot pepper sauce.

This Honey Barbecue Sauce is a tangy, flavorful condiment ideal for grilling and dipping. Made with organic ketchup, honey, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and hot pepper sauce, it balances sweet and savory flavors with a touch of smokiness from liquid smoke. Dry mustard powder, salt, and pepper add depth and a slight kick, resulting in a thick, glossy sauce that’s perfect for basting meats or serving as a tasty dip for appetizers.

Ingredients

1/2 cup organic ketchup (no fructose)
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Instructions

Combining Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, honey, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, salt, pepper, liquid smoke, and hot pepper sauce.

Simmering: Stir the mixture occasionally over medium heat to prevent sticking. Simmer until slightly thickened, about a few minutes.

Cooling: Remove from heat and let the sauce cool before transferring to a storage container or using immediately.

Tip: Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
